World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) returns to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, OK to host WCRA’s three-day timed event semi-finals January 7-9. The $330,000 guaranteed payout event will feature the world’s top rodeo athletes going head-to-head for their chance to qualify for WCRA’s Royal City Roundup, a one-day $1 Million Major Rodeo at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Contestants in six events—women’s breakaway roping, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing—will compete for their piece of the $330,000 purse. Athletes in each discipline—including both headers and heelers in the team roping event—will compete for more than $55,000.
