World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) is a professional sport and entertainment entity, created to develop and advance the sport of rodeo by aligning all levels of competition.
In association with Professional Bull Riders (PBR), WCRA produces major rodeo events, developing additional opportunities for the rodeo industry, athletes, stock contractors, stakeholders and fans.
- WCRA is an entirely new entity developed to advance opportunities for rodeo athletes and the sport of rodeo.
- WCRA is complementary and non-competitive to rodeos, rodeo organizations or others in the industry.

Gary brings storied leadership experience from the energy sector to WCRA. He owns the Lazy E Facilities in Guthrie, OK and Reliance Ranches a widely successful Quarter Horse Racing and Performance Horse operation.
4X World Champion Bareback Rider. 15 consecutive National Finals Rodeo appearances and nearly $3 million in career earnings. He has deep knowledge of the rodeo industry and seeks to bring positive change through WCRA.
+15 Years experience in the Western Lifestyles sector. Scott brings vast rodeo knowledge ranging from pro competition, to start up properties, to both marketing and sponsorship as well as technology.
Sami Jo Smith
Virtual Rodeo Qualifier (VRQ) Director
Sami Jo has a rich history in the western sports industry, providing event management and athlete relations services to several reputable events including Group W Production’s All In Barrel Race, Days of ’47 Rodeo, and The American. Her dedication and work ethic is driven by her passion for the western lifestyle.
Director of Marketing and Communications
Born and raised in northern Nevada, Kyle brings a diverse marketing and communications background to WCRA. He spent five years in the G-League and NBA, working for the Sacramento Kings. He is passionate about effective communications and is excited to help promote and advance WCRA’s mission.
Director of Rodeo Operations and Administration
Casey Duggan joins the WCRA as director of rodeo operations and administration after a long rich history in the western sports industry. Duggan most recently has spent the last eight and a half years with Professional Bull Riders (PBR), where he served as director of special events.
Prior to his stint with PBR, Duggan was general manager for Bad Company Rodeo where he produced high-quality professional rodeos and bull riding events throughout Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico.
Duggan’s resume also includes a six year stretch with US Smokeless Tobacco, acting as metro market supervisor. The Texas natives career comes full circle, after starting his western sports career with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) where he had a wide variety of tasks from entering athletes in rodeos across the nation to processing stock draws.
Allaince Partner Relations
After 30 years in the rodeo arena, five-time world champion bullfighter, Rob Smets joins the WCRA Staff leading the charge in the alliance partner relations department. The ProRodeo Hall of Fame Inductee (2006) fought in the National Finals Rodeo six times on top of the protecting the lives of those competing in the PBR finals nine times. Following his years in the arena, Rob worked on-air and in-arena announcer for PRCA and PBR events.
Sales and Service
Dale Davis has spent the last four years with Priefert Rodeo and Ranch Equipment where he won multiple awards pertaining to sales and service. Davis’ history in the western lifestyle runs deep from competing as an athlete, to ranching to announcing. After starting the podcast and social media site “Pro Rodeo Insider”, Dale connects with the WCRA team to ensure all athletes and alliances receive the best experience possible.
