–Four Athletes Remain Eligible for The Triple Crown of Rodeo–
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) has announced the 63 athletes (seven athletes per discipline) who have qualified for the May 13 Showdown Round at the $574,400 Rodeo Corpus Christi.
The roster will see a face-off in the bareback riding between Leighton Berry and Mason Clements while the breakaway roping is highlighted by 2022 Women’s Rodeo World Champion Martha Angelone, who is backing into the box against 16-year-old Division Youth (DY) Athlete Alee Andrews. Two-time WCRA Champion and 7x Wrangler National Finals (NFR) qualifier Isaac Diaz headlines the saddle bronc riding while hometown Cowgirl Sissy Winn is matched up against Stephanie Fryar.
Eighteen-year-old tie-down roper and WCRA Cowtown Christmas Championship runner-up Pecos Tatum will challenge World Champion Shad Mayfield in tie-down roping. The 10x WCRA Major Qualifier Bridger Anderson will go head-to-head against WCRA Champions Cody Devers.

The following four athletes are still eligible for the Triple Crown of Rodeo- a $1 Million bonus to any one athlete or collection of athletes who win first place in any three consecutive WCRA Major Rodeos:

On June 4 at 11:30 a.m. CT, fans can tune into Rodeo Corpus Christi Rodeo Triple Crown of Rodeo Round on a CBS network broadcast.
The 2023 Rodeo Corpus Christi is playing host to the first stop to the WCRA’s Triple Crown of Rodeo (TCR) during the 2023 series and will have a guaranteed payout of $574,200. Each champion will walk away with a minimum of $15,000.
