WCRA (World Champions Rodeo Alliance) today announced payout details regarding the August 11-14 Qualifying Rounds at the Stampede at The E. The qualifying rounds along with the August 15 main event held at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma is projected to payout upwards of $550,000.
Based on estimated entries of 100 per discipline – OPEN qualifying rounds will pay a little more than $44,000 per discipline; while, DY (youth) qualifying rounds will pay out up to $16,250 per discipline based on 50 entries per discipline. When combined, the qualifying round will pay out more than $250,000.
The below OPEN and DY payouts were built on entry estimations per discipline. The final payout will be determined based on total athletes per discipline after entries close on August 5:
The main event will consist of the number one athlete from the WCRA Leaderboard, the top qualifying DY (youth) athlete, and eight athletes from the qualifying rounds, totaling ten athletes in each timed event discipline. Format details can be viewed here.
In addition, DY Team Roping will have a #10.5 incentive which will pay out $3,500 (based on the 50 team estimate) in four holes as indicated in the payout chart below:

Athletes in each discipline will compete for a share of $28,000 in the main event with the champions walking away with a minimum of $12,500 each. Bull riders in the Stampede at the E will compete for a $78,000 purse as the $50,000 event champion payout from Kansas City will be carried over after no qualified rides in the showdown round at the Royal City Roundup.
All 10 athletes in each discipline who qualify to compete in the main event will receive a paycheck.
Entries will remain open until August 5 at 5 p.m. for timed event athletes (OPEN and DY) for their chance to compete in the Stampede at The E through the “Open to the World Qualifying Pools”. These pools will give any athlete the opportunity to enter and earn a spot in the August 15 one-day $300,000 rodeo. In addition, the timed events will be multiple entry allowing athletes to potentially compete in both the WCRA Pool and Open Pool. Athletes can enter HERE.
Entry fees for the OPEN pools will be $625 while DY fees will be $500.
