CANCELLATION OF THE 2020 DAYS OF ’47 COWBOY GAMES AND RODEO

Today, The Days of ’47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo (DO47) released that the July 21-25 event will be canceled due to public health concerns linked to the coronavirus pandemic. The $1,125,000 major event will return in July 2021.

In a press release issued by DO47: There were several factors that went into the decision including if fans and partners had the resources after these trying times to support the event as they have in the past along with the safety of all those involved to put on a world-class event. The event also stated that with the current guidelines in place, DO47 could not in good conscience continue to move forward with the July event.

WCRA is actively working to extend segment six through the next scheduled WCRA event.

“We understand that these are frustrating times for everyone on earth and in the rodeo community like we have never seen before,” said WCRA President Bobby Mote. “We are evaluating this rapidly evolving situation on a daily basis and building a strategy around the success of our live events.”

All athletes with questions or concerns can contact WCRA at [email protected] or 833-368-3787.

The WCRA asks that everyone continue to practice healthy habits as outlined by the CDC. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our athletes, fans, and the rodeo community as we face this unprecedented situation together.
