WCRA Rodeo and Smarty Roping Announce Official Partnership

Smarty Roping, a leading manufacturer of roping training products, and WCRA (World Champions Rodeo Alliance) today announced a new partnership that will expand across WCRA properties in including the Triple Crown of Rodeo Series, Women’s Rodeo World Championship and WCRA DY (Division Youth).

In addition to its involvement with the nationally televised Triple Crown of Rodeo Events, Smarty will be the title sponsor of the team Roping discipline at the 2022 Cowtown Christmas Championship while also offering a Roping Clinic during the Women’s Rodeo World Championship to educate youth on the western lifestyle.

“There is a shared spirit between the two brands with both being created to benefit rodeo athletes after not accepting what was the industry standard,” said WCRA President Bobby Mote. “This partnership is a perfect fit for us as WCRA athletes are extremely passionate about our sport and passionate about what they practice on and Smarty has raised the bar on roping training.”

Smarty is the only trainer of its kind to be totally designed by a 4x World Champion, Allen Bach. After contributing to the evolution of another roping machine for almost 15 years, he decided in 2010 to engineer the perfect training tool.

After 30 years of research and almost two years of testing, he launched the first Smarty in October 2011. Since then, Smarty has been titled the “pro’s” machine.

The WCRA 2022 schedule includes four Triple Crown of Rodeo events, beginning with Rodeo Corpus Christi May 11-14, followed immediately by the Women’s Rodeo World Championship in Fort Worth May 16-18. Utah Days of ‘47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City July 20-23 & 25 will be the third stop while the 2022 tour will wrap up with the Cowtown Christmas Championship Rodeo December 14-17.
